Objectives:

This “special handicap” meeting has a double objective:

• Promote and develop the practice of handigolf by promoting the action of the handi golf school created within the golf club Dolce Frégate Provence (changing the view on handicap)
• Organize a national competition open to the best French handball players for their selection in the French team (develop the high level of French golf for the disabled).

Program :

To meet these objectives, this unique and united event will be articulated in two key moments:

October 5, day dedicated to the recognition of the course by the 50 handigolfeurs selected, within the framework of a friendly and convivial competition “Solidargolf organized with the support of the group Véolia Eau. This event, which will bring together, as a team, disabled and able-bodied players, will be followed on the one hand by activities and workshops to discover the game of golf carried out by the handi school of Frégate and, on the other hand, by the show of demonstrations of golf shots in the presence of the players of the French handigolf team and in particular Manuel de LOS SANTOS. This day, accessible to all people coming from outside, is also intended to forge special relationships between the various local associations and the various public and private partners in the world of disability, in particular during a cocktail dinner of fencing.

The 6th and 7th October, will be punctuated by the Grand Prix open to a quality field with several representatives of the France Handigolf team (European Champion in 2017). The tournament will be organized according to the usual federal rules over two rounds without cut. Some series will be played in stroke play and others in Stableford for handigolfeurs who have less facilities. In the end, the players and their companions will have expressed themselves on a course of great notoriety and will have been able to appreciate the quality and attractiveness of the South region.

For this 1st edition, Alexander LEVY, professional golf player on the European circuit, has agreed to sponsor this event which will take place in the golf club where he made his first swings.

The Handigolf School of Dolce Frégate Provence:

Created in 2016 by the will of Société Véolia, the Handigolf Association and the Golf League of the Sud Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region, the Handi golf school of the Dolce Frégate Provence Golf Club has been very successful with rehabilitation and functional rehabilitation centers in the region and in particular the Club Coeur et Santé Hyères / Toulon, the Léon Bérard Hospital, Lyon Renée Sabran University Hospital, or the Adapté Sport Departmental Committee 83.
