Garmin today unveils the Approach G30, a new portable device that complements its already extensive line of golf GPS.

Like other Garmin golf devices, the Approach G30 integrates data from more than 40 golf courses around the world. Thanks to its 000 cm (5 inch) anti-glare color touchscreen and “Big Numbers” display mode, the Approach G2,3 allows you to see all the important information of the course at a glance.

The Approach G30 incorporates a high-sensitivity GPS receiver that allows golfers to access precise information about distance to green, obstacles and doglegs, even in wooded areas.

The green view function allows golfers to have a detailed vision of the green and to manually reposition the flag according to its position for the day to access the most precise information in terms of distance.

Users access virtual courses by following their statistics and their performance for each game thanks to the Touch Targeting functionality which gives the distance of a selected point on the course, thanks to a precise touch screen.

With its sleek design, the Approach G30 can be easily attached to a belt, a cart, a golf bag ... With a battery life of up to 15 hours, this new golf GPS will guide users over eighteen holes and Much more ! Designed to defy the elements, it offers an IPX7 water resistance rating.

The Approach G30 is compatible with Garmin's TruSwing ™ swing analysis sensor. Used together, these two elements will allow users to improve their swing through data such as club speed and trajectory.

Connectivity

Users with a compatible smartphone will be able to view calls, text messages and other notifications directly on the device. Automatic data transfer to the Garmin Connect ™ Mobile app allows users to track their overall score and analyze their performance on every course, and on every hole. Users can view past data to see their best score and average performance.
