Strongly invested in supporting the production of works, the National Foundation for Graphic and Plastic Arts (FNAGP) is developing a voluntarist patronage policy, in particular through the important aid system for projects it has set up in December 2011.

This, the most important private aid to production in France since the FNAGP devotes nearly 500 K € each year, concerns the work of confirmed or emerging artists, French or foreign, who are developing a project in France and aims to encourage the production of ambitious, innovative, experimental works, or those requiring significant research or gestation time. Aid is allocated after the opinion of a commission, made up of the President of the Foundation, Guillaume Cerutti, two representatives from the Ministry of Culture (General Directorate for Artistic Creation and General Inspectorate for Artistic Creation) and four qualified personalities, appointed for two years by the Foundation's Board of Directors who are, for the period 2017/2018: Caroline David, director of the Institut français d'Izmir, former director of FRAC Nord-Pas-de-Calais and commissioner of 'exhibition; Esther Ferrer, artist; Sylvain Lizon, director of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy; Miguel Magalhães, deputy director of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Paris.

During the fall 2017 commission, which was held on November 10, 24 new projects were selected for an overall financial envelope of € 245. Since the creation of this system, 000 artists' projects have therefore been helped, for a total amount of more than € 279.
