Dr Hasso Plattner, the owner of Fancourt, dreamed of creating authentic links under the South African sun! What a joy that this desire has turned into a masterpiece thanks to the talent of Gary Player and the considerable resources made available to him!

From an old aerodrome was born a huge course worthy of the biggest British links!

Inside the links we enter a cozy club where the comfortable chairs have already welcomed the greatest players on the planet during the President's Cup in 2003.

Despite its young age, the patina and the history seem inseparable from this breathtaking course that we play exclusively on foot with a caddy to advise and confide.

The fearsome roughs have the naturalness of those of Carnoustie, the grass having been imported from Scotland in the creation of golf; just like the skillfully rusted fences which seem to be centuries old when they were installed at the creation of the golf course!

A Disney-style setting, so successful that the smallest detail contributes to giving the impression that this route has been part of the landscape for hundreds of years; just like the surrounding Oueniqua mountain range.

By planting the tee at 1 you immediately feel the challenge that awaits us, without rest or relaxation until the green of 18!

The Links is certainly accessible to each player who lives in Fancourt, but you have to be realistic!

This course is only appreciable with a certain level of play; The Links is certainly the most difficult course in South Africa and one of the most formidable in the world; and even if you have lost all your balls, the ballad with your caddy will remain a great moment in your golfing career.
