The tournament organizing committee has just announced its last two wild cards. At the beginning of June, a first exemption was granted to the English Bronte Law (21 years old, N ° 3 in the world female amateur ranking) after her distinction at the Annika Award by3M which rewards the best university player of the year. Two other amateurs receive their ticket for the Evian Championship today. The American Hannah O'Sullivan (18, world No.1 amateur) had distinguished herself in the professional ranks in 2015 by winning the Gateway Classic, becoming the youngest player in history to win on the Symetra Tour . Switzerland's Albane Valenzuela (18 years old, world n ° 11 amateur) is in the list of 60 players qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio.

These three amateurs had all the assets to hold the attention of the organizers, anxious to support and accompany the talents of the future by giving them the possibility of evolving at the highest level, in the field of a Major. "We are still pursuing the objective we have set for ourselves" recalls Franck Riboud, President of Danone and President of the Evian Championship. "Putting the Evian Championship platform at the service of the development of young talents and bringing to life this link which exists between the elite of world women's golf and the new generation of champions remains our greatest ambition".

A sports policy hailed by young people, as Albane Valenzuela underlined at the Evian Championship last year: “It is a special feeling to be part of the Galaxy Evian Championship. What Franck Riboud has put in place here is just extraordinary. Giving hope a chance, on courses with high standards like that of a Major, is a real message sent to young people and therefore to the future. "

Records, Hannah O'Sullivan knows. At 12, the American becomes the youngest player to win the State Junior Girls Championship in 62 years of history. At 16, after 3 victories in prestigious tournaments of the American Junior Golf Association, she won the Gateway Classic to illustrate herself as the youngest winner on the Symetra Tour (16 years, 9 months and 11 days). Her title at the 2015 US Women's Amateur Championship opened her doors to the Evian Championship last year where she passed the cut to finish in 50th place. Cut also went to the ANA Inspiration at the start of the 2016 season where she finished 65th to share with Albane Valenzuela the distinction of best amateur on the tournament. The world number 1, which takes a delegation of 25 amateurs to the US Women's Open this Thursday, has all the assets to shine also at Evian next September.

Albane lives a dream. The woman who set her Olympic goal at Tokyo 2020 had to revise her calendar. It will surely be Rio 2016. Thanks to her great performances signed during a year in which the young Swiss chose to devote herself entirely to golf before joining the prestigious Stanford University (like Tiger Woods!), She is propelled to 53rd position on the list of 60 qualified for Rio next August. A confirmation which should arrive on July 12, date of the revelation of the selection. Meanwhile, the double winner in the United States last December of the Doral Publix Junior Golf Classic and the prestigious Orange Bowl Junior, snatched its qualification for the US Women's Open thanks to its 5th place during the qualifications in Massachusetts. Very comfortable among professionals (best amateur with Hannah O'Sullivan during the ANA Inspiration, 5th and 4th on the European Tour 2016, in Morocco and then in the Czech Republic), Albane will give everything for her 2nd participation in the 'Evian Championship 2016.

Bronte Law is riding the wave of success. This year, the young Englishwoman, a student at UCLA in California, is getting a lot of attention in the world of amateur golf worldwide. Particularly praised following her double title at the English Women's Amateur Championship 2014 and 2015, Bronte Law was named in May 2016 Ping WGCA Player of the Year, totaling 3 victories over the year (6 during his university career). Over one season, her average score of 70,61 is the lowest since Lorena Ochoa's 70,13 in 2002! Rewarded by the Annika Award by 3M given to the best university player of the year, last June, she was offered an exemption for the Evian Championship, where she will try to improve her 33rd place in Major (during the Ricoh Women's British Open 2012). In the meantime, it shatters the records with a participation more than noticed during the last Curtis Cup where it largely contributes to the victory of Great Britain & Ireland against the United States (5 matches won).
