What an end to the tournament! After having put two balls in the water on his 72nd hole, Daniel Gavins returned a putt from nearly 8 meters, signed a double bogey and won the Ras Al Khaimah Championship one stroke ahead of Alexander Björk and Xander Lombard. A leading time on the last lap with a fiery start, Matthieu Pavon had to settle for a ninth place finish after a difficult end to the game.

What suspense on this Ras Al Khaimah Championship! It will have taken some time to know the winner of this tournament. Solidly installed as the leader at the start of the 72nd hole with three strokes in advance, Daniel Gavins came close to disillusionment. After a drive sent into the water hazard, then a new ball lost in a water hazard on the attack of the green, the English player signed a chip/putt thanks to a putt in from almost 8 meters.

His total of -17 allows him to claim his second victory on the DP World Tour. He is one step ahead of Alexander Björk (SWE) and Xander Lombard (AFS).

We once hoped for a French victory in this new week in the Emirates. Fourth at the start of the last lap and associated with Daniel Gavins in the penultimate part, Matthieu Pavon got off to a fiery start with -5 on his first four holes: three birdies and an eagle. The rest of his game was unfortunately more difficult with two bogeys at the end of his first leg, then a double bogey on 12 followed by a bogey on 13. He nevertheless finished in the top 10 with a ninth place finish.

Victor Perez posted another good performance with a final 13th place in this Ras Al Khaimah Championship, as did Julien Guerrier. Too bad for Guerrier who signs two bogeys on his last two holes, otherwise a top 10 would have been achieved!
