Encouraged in this sense by the policy of the French Golf Federation which, for years, has been working towards the democratization of its sport, the neophytes have also passed the course thanks to the various actions carried out throughout the year by the team golf under the guidance of its director Fanny Pontabry.

"Above all, I am passionate about it," explains the one that NGF, the equipment management group, has sent out since January. From there, I am keen to introduce my sport to as many people as possible, which in the case of golf necessarily involves a dusting off of the overused image of confidential activity. Of course, with the return of the discipline to the Olympic Games this summer and the hosting of the Ryder Cup in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in 2018, golf is taking center stage, but for an effect concrete, we had to reason in terms of proximity, accessibility and above all highlight the fun side of the game. The location of the golf course here is already a considerable asset, with the team we are therefore attached, via fundamental principles, to respond correctly to expectations and then to create new ones. ”

1 - Open: the alliance with the SMUC

Sealed last July, the partnership with SMUC enabled Borely to benefit from the dynamism of the 2nd sports club in France the following fall.

Thus, its actions have already been reinforced on different grounds, like:

• animation of the sports association, since then related to the golf section of the SMUC,
• visibility, with the constitution of teams bringing together players from 7 to 77 years old who will wear the colors of the SMUC Daily golf in all PACA and, more generally, during national competitions,
• notoriety, with, as a nod to Rio, the welcoming of golfers from the Corporate Games, business olympiads, next May.

2 - Transmitting: a reshaped golf offer

If Borely can be proud of an increasing number of new golfers within it is that, in addition to a multiplication of initiation operations inviting the curious to dare to golf, all the formulas of Teachings have been redesigned to transform the initiate into regular practice. Thus, with its Daily Pop formula, intended for golfers aged 18 to 90, it is possible to go to play twice a week (group lesson or course) for less than 50 euros per month (or even less than 25 € for under 25), which makes it by far the best product for beginners in all PACA!

Another priority audience: children. Appropriate educational programs and timetables, prices 30 to 50% lower than in other establishments, organization of internships during school holidays, everything has been put in place to constitute a real "youth" pole, pillar of development of any practice.

3 - Support: the creation of a pitch & putt

Anxious to maintain its good dynamics and to maintain its equipment at the best level for all practitioners, the Daily golf Borely will very soon inaugurate a pitch & putt course.

Adapted to a fast-paced game for those in a hurry, but also particularly conducive to sharing a family activity, this "mini" course, which is played in just 1 hours, will be enhanced with specific educational signage allowing everyone to learn in playing. An innovative idea which, we hope, will inspire…

Thus, thanks to the background work undertaken and the good energy of the club, the Daily golf Borely has managed to anchor itself in the local landscape of the sports establishments that count; ideal positioning at the dawn of 2017, the year in which the eyes of European sport will be turned to Marseille, its capital.
