It will be the first tournament of its kind in Sweden since 2015. Organized in collaboration with the title sponsor and promoter Creekhouse Management, the Creekhouse Ladies Open aims primarily to support professional golf for women in Sweden. "There is a big boost in women's golf and we are delighted to work in close collaboration with the Ladies European Tour and the Swedish Golf Federation to support all the great Swedish professionals that we have and who continue to come", emphasizes Pelle Krüger, Managing Director of Creekhouse Management.

After LET and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) joined forces to drive the growth of women's professional golf in Europe, it was almost natural that the partnership partnered with Creekhouse Management to bring Sweden back to the LET map. . “This is the perfect time for us to add an exciting new tournament in Sweden as we build a stronger program and take the circuit to the next level. Sweden is a hotbed of golfing talent in Europe ”, says Alexandra Armas, Acting Director General of LET.

The Kristianstads GK in Åhus is one of the oldest courses in Sweden, with a long history of tournaments. In 1986, it hosted the Kristianstad Open, a Ladies European Tour event featuring stars like Liselotte Neumann, Helen Alfredsson and Laura Davies. It has since hosted a European Championship and numerous satellite tournaments for women and men. With new owners in recent years, the course is now ranked among the best courses in the Nordic countries.
