Two-time Masters champion and Ryder Cup legend José María Olazábal presented the two new 18-hole courses he designed at Costa Navarino, the premium golf destination in Greece.

The Navarino Hills courses will further enrich the Costa Navarino golf offer, bringing the number of “Signature” golf courses on site to 4, all within a 13 km radius. The two par 72 courses measure 6 m and 466 m from the back tees and extend over 6 hectares, overlooking the historic Navarin bay and the surrounding hills.

The longer course has been designed as the more ambitious of the two and will be capable of hosting international competitions. The shortest route will offer a more peaceful experience, but will impress with its route through splendid valleys and hills.

During his visit to the site under construction, José María Olazábal said: “Having the opportunity to design 2 new courses on the splendid Navarino Hills area fills me with pride. The landscape is simply breathtaking and we believe that it is our responsibility to create courses that blend harmoniously into the environment. We still have a way to go before the opening but I look forward to this day with impatience and excitement ”.

Stephanos Theodorides, Managing Director of Panorama - owners and developers of the Navarino Hills site, welcomed Olazábal on his return to Costa Navarino: “Today marks an important step in the development of Navarino Hills. We are delighted to present this new golf project which will position Costa Navarino among the main sustainable international golf destinations and will introduce the Messinian region to golf enthusiasts around the world. We share a common vision with José María Olazábal, that of placing sustainable development at the heart of the project and we look forward to the next steps in this unique project, reflecting the quality and high-end standards of Costa Navarino ”.

A new announcement about Navarino Hills came shortly after the recent announcement by TEMES - the developers of Costa Navarino - of a new partnership with Consillium SA, in line with its strategy of developing the golf segment of the destination. The agreement refers to an equal joint venture between one of the TEMES group subsidiaries, Panorama SA, and one of the investment companies managed by Consillium, for the ownership and development of the Navarino Hills site, and for the ownership and operation of The Dunes Course.

The destination already offers two luxury hotels, private residences and two Signature golf courses, as well as five-star services and amenities and a range of authentic experiences, throughout the year.
