Leader from stroke-play, the players of the France Girls Team immediately assumed their status as favorites by finishing first in the stroke-play qualifications of this European Girls Championship. They are five strokes ahead of the England team.

After defeating the Czech Republic in the quarter-finals, then Germany in the semi-finals, the French team climbed to the final of the event. The Girls found for this last meeting the Swedish team, third in the qualifications.

The summary of the European Girls Championship final

During the morning of the foursomes, it was Sweden who scored the first point of the match by winning the first double. The Constance Fouillet / Maylis Lamoure duo could not resist the onslaught of Nora Sundberg and Meja Örtengren. The Swedes win this first double 5&3. The French reply was not long in coming: Vairana Heck and Nastasia Nadaud won their double with the score of 5&4 and allowed the French team to return to equality after this morning. The afternoon games had to be slightly postponed due to an increasing wind on the course of the Oddur Golf club.

After a short hiatus, play resumed between France and Sweden, with the encounter being played out over the afternoon's five singles, with the two teams split back to back from the foursomes.

The first points were won by France, Constance Fouillet winning 2&1, followed by Maylis Lamoure, winning 3&1. Sweden reacted by winning the third match, Filippa Sundquist won 2&1 against Carla De Troia.

At the end of a tight day, it was finally Vairana Heck who gave the point of the title of European champion to the French team, winning on the 16th hole: 3&2.

The fifth and last match is won by Sweden but does not change the result of the match: France is crowned European Champion.
