Carmen Alonso in the lead at Evian, Meyssonnier 10th
After the first round of the Jabra Ladies Open presented by Bitstamp, it is the Spaniard Carmen Alonso who leads the dance at -5. She is ahead of Australia's Whitney Hillier and Scotland's Gabrielle Macdonald. The first Frenchwoman ranks 10th, Anais Meyssonnier with a card of 70 (-1).
It's the end of the first day of play in Evian les Bains for the sixth edition of the Jabra Ladies Open presented by Bitstamp. At the end of the first 18 holes of the Ladies European Tour tournament, it is the Spaniard Carmen Alonso who is at the top of the leaderboard, thanks to 5 birdies and 1 eagle on hole 18, and a score of 66 (-5).
She is closely followed by the Australian Whitney Hillier and the Scottish Gabrielle Macdonald, they are placed at a stroke of the head with cards of 67 (-4) each.

The first Frenchwoman ranks 10th. Anais Meyssonnier returns a card of 70 (-1) and is therefore four strokes behind the Spanish leader.
Emma Grechi ranks 22nd with a card of 72 (+1).
Anne-Lise Caudal, Anne-Charlotte Mora and Agathe Sauzon are in 35th place in the general classification with cards of 73 (+2).
Constance Fouillet, first French amateur ranks 50th with a card of 74 (+3) during this first round.
The entire field of players will start tomorrow for the second round of the competition, before the traditional “cut” on Friday evening.
As a reminder, the player who will win on Evian grounds this Saturday will be rewarded, in addition to her prize money, with direct qualification to participate in the Major The Amundi Evian Championship, which will be held from July 21 to 24. and alongside the best players on the LPGA Tour.
