PGA Tour players returned to TPC Louisiana in New Orleans this week for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. This historic PGA Tour tournament, created in 1938, has been played since 2017 in doubles. The pairs alternate between fourball and foursome during the four days of competition.

It is a 100% American pair that wins the tournament this year. Patrick Cantlay and 2021 Ryder Cup winner Xander Schauffele finish the tournament with a total of -29, thanks to cards of 59-68-60-72. Their first day in 59 (-13) allowed them to set the new course record. During this first round, their card is only composed of six pars, for eleven birdies and an eagle.

They also almost equalized their record in the third round with a card of 60 (-12) and a comeback with eight birdies on nine holes. Their last card in the PAR allows them to win with two strokes ahead of the pair Billy Horschel / Sam Burns.

The duo of Shane Lowry and Ian Poulter made noise with their matching colorful pants all week long. They finished 13th at -21, ahead of a well-known and recognized Ryder Cup pair: Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson.

One of the images of this last round is the blunder of Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown on the par 3 of the 9. Until then -1 for the day, the two men alternately put three balls in the water to sign an eight on the hole: a quintuple bogey. They will finally end their week with a card of 74 (+2), in 35th position.
