After a first round of 70, Nuutinen followed with a round of 68, or four under par, to tackle the weekend tied for the top of the standings.

The Finn started her turn with a miss on the second hole, but recovered with two birdies in a row and reached the turn at 35.

Nuutinen, who is currently fifth in the 2021 Race to Costa del Sol, managed three more birdies over the last nine holes to return to a tie with Kyriacou.

“It was just easy. I hit a lot of fairways and a lot of greens so it was a stress free course for me today. I had a little trouble with the umbrella and the cart ”she explained. “My caddy unfortunately had to retire at the last minute due to an injury. I'm trying to fend for myself this week. It looks like it's going well. "

“I had to have this week off because there is a long series of tournaments coming up with the Majors and the Olympics. I don't really have time to spend a week at home. I'm here, but I have this rule that I'm only allowed to train for 50 minutes after my turn. I'm trying to focus on recovery and rest this week. "

Kyriacou had a two-stroke advantage since the night before and struggled through a round of 72 to maintain a lead split after two rounds.

LET's 2020 Rookie of the Year recorded four birdies and four bogeys on his card in the wet conditions at Rosendaelsche Golf Club.

“I feel good, I feel like I could have played a lot better but I'm sure everyone can say that. I missed a few small putts, but then made a few long putts to catch up. It was really regular golf ”, said the 20-year-old.

“It was raining a little more this morning than last night. The greens were a bit slow, and I think I struggled. If the weather is fine, I should be fine. There are still two laps left and especially on this course, which is so tight, anything can happen in 36 holes of golf. "

Thailand's Atthaya Thitikul, who won the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open last week, had another solid day with a second round of 70 and is two strokes behind the leaders.
