Three members of the Dream Team of Audemars Piguet ambassadors visited the workshops and the private museum of the Swiss watchmaker in Le Brassus: Miguel Angel Jimenez, Bernd Wiesberger and Andy Sullivan. François-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of the manufacture and golf enthusiast, gave them an incredible challenge: to reach from the roof terrace of the company's headquarters archery targets located in a nearby field at distances ranging from up to 200 meters, with a panoramic view of the Vallée de Joux in the background. Out of forty balls played, the targets were hit only four times, three of them by the winner of the precision competition Bernd Wiesberger. Originally from neighboring Austria, he was undoubtedly the competitor most used to altitude golf! A fine watch connoisseur, Bernd was able to satisfy his passion for watchmaking know-how throughout his visit to the workshops and the Audemars Piguet museum.

Audemars Piguet ambassador since 2005, Miguel Angel Jimenez was invited for the first time to decorate and assemble a watch movement. The 52-year-old Spaniard set out to build the movement with a concentration and determination worthy of the formidable competitor he is. However, he was penalized for slow play, his two colleagues having completed the task two minutes before him!

This visit to the birthplace of Audemars Piguet marked the beginning of the collaboration between the brand and Andy Sullivan. The young Englishman is the new ambassador of the manufacture. Andy is one of nine European golfers who will face the Americans at Hazeltine at the end of next month under the mentorship of Darren Clarke, another Audemars Piguet ambassador. He qualified by winning the Portugal Masters in October 2015 (his third European Tour victory last year) and thanks to the remarkably stable results he has achieved since. Much like Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood, Danny Willett, Vice Captain Ian Poulter and Captain Darren Clarke, Andy Sullivan wears the prototype Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph with pushers and blue ceramic crown, specially designed for the golfing team for the 2016 season.

In every golfer there is a sleeping watchmaker. Self-control, meticulous time management, love of perfection: on the green as in Haute Horlogerie, it is always a question of both precision and elegance, beauty of movement and performance. The other members of the Dream Team of Audemars Piguet ambassadors are Byeong Hun An, Keegan Bradley, Victor Dubuisson, Paul Dunne, Branden Grace, Emiliano Grillo, Romain Langasque, Renato Paratore, Peter Uihlein and Lee Westwood. They constitute the best team of professional golfers in the world of watchmaking.
