Deauville

Identity, history, economic forces, heritage, quality of life, landscapes, since its creation, Deauville has been highlighting its territory in a search for permanent attractiveness.

In 2007, Philippe Augier, Mayor of Deauville, noted that the Deauville brand is too often diverted in favor of private interests unrelated to the territory. He organizes the legal protection of the Deauville name and at the same time works on the development of brand licenses and derivative products that are meaningful for the city.

The stripe at the heart of the collection

While opening a boutique in Deauville in 1913, Gabrielle Chanel was inspired by the city's ambiances and her dress codes. Among other things, the marinière, worn by fishermen on the quays of Deauville then enters its collections intended for women.

Deauville bases its economic strategy on the development of responsible tourism: heritage protection, quality of reception, creation of high-quality tourism infrastructures, event policy with a cultural and sporting vocation, search for new forms of tourism, support for forums and meetings that make things happen.

The Deauville brand aims to promote Deauville and generate revenue to support the development of its territory. It highlights projects, equipment, events that bring its territory to life. It can be shared by all those who contribute to the development of the city and its attractiveness.
