On October 19 and 20, the National Final of the Amateur Golf World Cup took place on the lands of Surcouf where the Saint Malo Golf Resort is located.

This exceptional amateur test, initiated by LeClub Golf, enabled after 6 months of qualifications and more than 9000 participants within the LeClub Golf network, to select 62 contenders to participate in the Grand National Final at the Saint-Malo Golf Resort qualifying for the Grand International Final which will take place on the magnificent Heritage Resort of Mauritius.

A raised plateau which discovered, as of Friday during the reconnaissance tour, the technical subtleties of the course, carefully prepared for the occasion, by the intendant Emmanuel Zwertvaegher and all his team.

It is motivated and determined to win the title that the players presented themselves at the start of hole 1 of this Amateur Golf World Cup final, for the first of 2 rounds in individual stableford.

If in the first series, Benjamin MATTHIEU (Golf de l'Isle Adam) quickly took control, the fight was going to be tighter between Thierry THUILLIER (Golf du Lys Chantilly) and Richard FORSTER (UGolf de Metz).

The gala evening of the Amateur World Golf Cup, in the presence of Franck Nicol, general manager of the site, allowed everyone to relax and get to know better the main partner of the event, Mickael Geerdaharry, Sales & Golf manager promotion for the Heritage Resort in Mauritius.

For the second day of competition, and with the prospect of winning the Grail to represent France at the 2020 International Final, each competitor will have given the best of themselves, in a remarkable sports spirit.

Franck FONTAINE (Golf de Caen Garcelles), despite an impeccable second round, remains one point ahead of Benjamin MATTHIEU who qualifies brilliantly in the first series.
Shaken classification in the second series where Richard FORSTER won ahead of Thierry THUILLIER after an excellent 2nd round.

Serge RAULLIC, President and owner of the Golf, during the awards ceremony, recalled his pride in belonging to the LeClub Golf network and his satisfaction at having hosted this internationally renowned event.
