AIG WOMEN'S OPEN: Harigae and Hall in the lead, Delacour passes the CUT
In this second round of AIG WOMEN'S OPEN, the Englishwoman Georgia Hall and the American Mina Harigae took the lead at -2. Friday more difficult for the French at Carnoustie, only Perrine Delacour crosses the CUT and will return this weekend.
The moving day and the epilogue of the tournament in Carnoustie promise to be thrilling. After two rounds, the first 11 players are separated by only 2 moves. Hall and Harigae are in the lead but a short lead. Sei Young Kim, 4th player in the world and co-leader after the first round is in ambush at -6. World number 1 Nelly Korda returned an over par, 73 (+1) and is in 12th position at -4 overall. Swedish Madelene Sagstrom, also co-leader after the first lap, is also in 12th position at -4.

The selection of the CUT was made at +1. Defending champion Sophia Popov finished at +3 and will not play this weekend.
Among the 5 French women involved in this major, only Perrine Delacour passes the CUT test. After a 1st turn in 73 (+1), a card under the par in 71 (-1) allows him to play this weekend. Despite a good start to the game and a passage to -3 on its way out, the end of the game was more difficult. Being -4 at the start of the 16, a bogey on this par 3 then a double bogey on the 17 demoted the Frenchwoman to -1. She will be our only representative this weekend.
Céline Herbin returns a card of 74 (+2) this Friday and finishes at +2 total, one stroke from the CUT.
Agathe Sauzon also returns a card of 74 (+2) and ends at +3 total, 79th.
Céline Boutier is also in 79th place with a 75 (+3) today.
Lucie Malchirand plays 76 (+4) today and finishes in 140th place at +11 total.
