In March everyone draws?

"What a long way for contemporary design since the first edition of the fair in 2007! This path seems easy now that drawing is recognized as a work in its own right, but at the start the challenge existed: that of bringing together a set of galleries that would only present contemporary drawing!

We are happy to note through the success of DRAWING NOW Art Fair which receives nearly 20 visitors every year that we can now, with the Month of the drawing exceed our Parisian perimeter and regroup on the national territory forty places where the contemporary drawing will take different forms. Because indeed our objective is to allow through drawing to facilitate a transmission and access to artists, to drawing and to contemporary art more widely!

Within the Carreau du Temple, the 72 selected galleries from 15 countries will allow visitors to discover new artists and new ways of drawing.

If the cinema is in the spotlight this year through an exhibition led in partnership with the Cinémathèque française, it will be above all to continue to show the privileged links of drawing with other artistic disciplines. These links will be deepened thanks to the talks program and the performance program. Because indeed if the drawing sees its notoriety grow it is that nothing can replace it and that it is an irreplaceable tool of communication and reflection.

Visitors to the 14th edition of DRAWING NOW Art Fair will be able to appreciate and compare their views on the drawings of several generations of artists, from the youngest, aged 24 years to the oldest aged 97 years. The largest generation represented is that of the 30/50 year olds. As for women, it should be noted that 44% will be presented in focus on the stands.

Thus this edition promises new discoveries and encounters around the drawing medium in all these forms. In particular, the low level of the Carreau du Temple offers through the Insight sector to deepen or discover the work of artists from sometimes close horizons, but less well known to French visitors. The Process sector offers a more experimental vision of drawing!

Without forgetting the DRAWING NOW prize which will reward its 10th winner this year.

This new edition will thus be very rich in its form and content and will, we hope, reserve unforgettable moments for visitors. "
