Yesterday afternoon, Line Renaud, vice-president of Sidaction, Guillaume Gomez, ambassador of the 2016 Chefs Solidaires operation, and all the partner chefs launched the 2016 edition of Chefs Solidaires, which will take place Thursday October 6 everywhere in France.

Were present Guillaume Gomez, president of the Cuisiniers de la République française and co-president of Euro-Toques, Lucien Veillet, president of the National Cooking Academy, Fabrice Prochasson, president of the Culinary Academy of France, Gérard Rapp, president from the National Society of the Best Craftsmen of France, Marie Sauce, President of the Toques Françaises, but also Bruno De Monte, Director of the Ferrandi School, as well as several students of the school. Gathered at l'Evasion, a participating Parisian restaurant, everyone recalled the importance of commitment to the fight against AIDS.

20160922_beaulancementchefssolidaires2016linenaudguillaumegomez_02Initiated in 2009 by Line Renaud, Vice-President of Sidaction, the Chefs Solidaires operation is an opportunity for restaurateurs and food trades to commit to the fight against AIDS for a day, either by donating 10 % of their daily turnover at Sidaction, either by organizing an exceptional action giving rise to a donation.

Because the AIDS epidemic is gaining ground in France. Because young people between the ages of 15 and 24 represent 12% of new discoveries of seropositivity. Because this number increased by 3 points between 2014 and 2015 among heterosexual women and men over 50, going from 17 to 20%.

Because everyone is concerned, this day allows catering professionals to show their solidarity but also to educate their teams and their customers. The operation takes place on Thursday October 6, 2016 throughout France.

This year, the event's ambassador is Guillaume Gomez, president of the Cooks of the French Republic and co-president of Euro-Toques, who has been joined by numerous associations of chefs such as the National Cooking Academy, l 'Culinary Academy of France, the Cooks of France, the National Society of the best workers in France, the French Toques, or the Ferrandi school.
