The 1st stage of the 2017 edition of the En route trophy for 2018 brought together 88 players on the magnificent course of Alsace Golf Links (68).

88 players met this Sunday, April 9 on the Alsace Golf links course to participate in the 1st stage of the 2017 edition of the On the road for 2018 trophy organized by Open Golf Club. David Abercrombie, the general manager of golf and his team had very well prepared for this event because not only was the course magnificent with very good greens and very interesting flag locations but also incredible weather conditions worthy of a July with in the afternoon over 24 °. And to the delight of golfers, 3 precision contests and 2 drive contests complemented this qualifying competition for a place in the final organized on October 21 and 22 at the Golf National, on the albatross course and with the presence of Christian Cévaër.

Congratulations to the winning teams in particular, the team of Oliver Johannes and Antonio Grote who won the 1 st Net prize with the score of 48 stableford points and the team of Antoine Courbion (one of the 2 finalists of the edition 2016) and Jéremy Hass, who won the 1st Brut prize with 39 points.

As for the team which wins the qualification for the Final, namely the 1 st team to accumulate the Gross and Net scores, it is with the score of 82 points, 34 in Gross but 48 in Net, that the team of 'Oliver Johannes (index 7,9) and Antonio Grote (index 19) win their place in the Final held at the Golf National on the course which will host the Ryder Cup in 2018.

The awards ceremony hosted by David Abercrombie and Hervé Decléty from Open Golf Club took place in a very friendly atmosphere. And a large audience was present to know the results and hope to win the many gifts offered by Open Golf Club and its partners Henriot, Decayeux Paris, Gras Savoye Berger Simon, Le Figaro Golf, Journal du Golf, Golf Magazine, GolfatHome, Glenfiddich and the Domaine des Remparts.

As a reminder, all those who participate in one of the 18 On the Road to 2018 trophies will have the chance to win one of the 4 2018 Ryder Cup invitations including a VIP invitation that Open Golf Club offers to the draw on October 5th. next as well as 2 medium-haul Air France tickets.
