Ghala Valley Golf

Inaugurated in 1971, this course nestled in the heart of the Omani cliffs was initially a 9-hole course played on sandy ground. It was at twilight in 2010 that grass replaced sand with government help, before hosting 9 additional holes in May 2012. Bordered by the Al-Hajar mountains, this 18-hole course is the narrowest in the Sultanate, but one of the nicest thanks to its idyllic setting. With respect for the environment and water management at the heart of the golf philosophy, environmental initiatives have been implemented such as wastewater treatment.
