Led by 3 points after the first day, the Americans had to pick up the score in this second day, in order to start the singles matches in the best possible way.The morning foursome matches turned out in Team USA's favor: 3 to 1.

Europe was therefore only 1 point ahead, 6,5 to 5,5.

Kang / Ernst win at the last hole 1UP over Hall / Sagstrom.

Thompson / Altomare win 2 & 1 over Hull / Pederson.

Salas / Kupcho win 3 & 1 over Nordqvist / Castren.

Reid and Maguire bring back the only point of these foursomes for the European team by winning 5 & 4 over the pair Nelly Korda / Ally Ewing.

After this charge of the United States, the fourballs were played.

Scottish captain Catriona Matthew has decided to line up Céline Boutier with Germany's Sophia Popov for the fourball matches.

They unfortunately lost 3 & 1 against the duo Noh / Harigae.

This defeat puts an end to the series of invincibility of the French in the Solheim Cup.

During this 2021 edition, his record is one defeat and one draw for two games played. We hope during the singles that she will open her victory counter and bring back a point for Team Europe.

It will be the only game lost by the players of Catriona Matthew during these fourballs.

Indeed, behind this first match, Reid and Maguire shared their meeting against Kupcho and Salas. Led 1DOWN at the start of the 18th, a birdie from Reid allows them to snatch a half point.

2 more points were added thanks to the victories of Ciganda and Koerstz Madsen, 1UP against Jessica Korda and Khang, as well as Hull and Pedersen who won 3 & 2 against Kang and Ernst.

On these fourballs, Europe therefore takes 1 point over Pat Hurst's players, 2,5 to 1,5.

Europe therefore leads 9-7 at the end of the second day, and therefore has a 2-point lead before starting the singles matches.
