Following the charity Pro Am organized last week Tuesday September 11 at the Golf du Médoc followed by a dinner and an auction at Château Montrose, we offer you a recap of this unforgettable day with a raised field including 2 players who were at the heart of the Ryder Cup discussions: Matt Wallace and Eddie Pepperell. This pro am is in favor of the Aquitaine Destination association which leads actions with children who are treated in the pediatric oncology departments of hospitals in the New Aquitaine region. The association organizes cultural and often sports events for children and their families, which allow them to escape the context of the disease, for a day or more. That day 2 children were able to come and enjoy the joy of this sport including Ophélie who is a big fan of golf. Thanks to this day we were able to offer her her subscription to the golf course of her choice to practice this sport that she loves so much. Grégory, sponsor of this association for several years, is present whenever he can with his children to get them out of their daily lives.

This event consisted of bringing together players from the European Tour and amateurs of golf and French and foreign wines. The field of professional players were quite exceptional with the presence of Matt Wallace (3 times winner this year on the European Tour and was at the gates of the Ryder Cup selection), Eddie Pepperell (1 victory this year and 16th European), Jamie Donalson (3 wins on European Tour + winner with the European Ryder Cup 2014 team), Bradley Dredge (2 wins on European Tour), Richard Sterne (6 wins on European Tour) and Grégory Bourdy (4 wins on European Tour) ).

6 teams (including 2 from Maison Sichel and Twins merchants) had the privilege of playing Golf du Médoc on the Châteaux course followed by dinner at Château Montrose. The guests were received in this beautiful residence to taste exceptional vintages (Tronquoy Lalande 2013, Dame de Montrose 2011, Château Montrose 2009 and Château Montrose 2005). The winning team in Brut is Maison Twins with Sébastien Moses, Anthony Moses and Eric Bernard accompanied by pro Eddie Pepperell. The Net team was made up of former tennis player Mikael Llodra, Jean Pascal Montaner, Eric Pietrini and Grégory Bourdy.

Eddy Pepperell commented: “It was an incredible moment, Chateau Montrose blew me away. I am not a wine expert but more and more I taste it and I like to discover the vineyards. " He left Wednesday noon for the KLM where he finished with a nice 6th place and sent on Sunday evening: “I am really happy with this result! I decided that every day is wine day! "

Matt Wallace: « It was a fantastic day, it's my first time in Bordeaux, I really enjoyed discovering Château Montrose and tasting the best vintage. I am happy to participate in this charity day to raise funds for children. I like to drink a few glasses of wine before a tournament and of course to celebrate the victory like in Denmark! »
