Porsche, the famous sports car manufacturer, has announced a new multi-year agreement with the DP World Tour, the world's leading professional golf tour, to sponsor the Singapore Classic, one of the flagship events of the season. This partnership is part of Porsche’s strategy to expand its global involvement in golf, offering its customers and fans exclusive brand experiences and supporting the sport at all levels.

La Porsche Singapore Classic will take place from March 21 to 24, 2024 at Laguna National Golf Resort Club, an internationally renowned course which regularly hosts high-level competitions. The tournament will be part of theAsian Swing, the third of five new Global Swings that make up the first phase of the 2024 season of the DP World Tour, which adopted a new, more innovative and attractive format.

The Porsche Singapore Classic will bring together the best players in the world, some of whom have already registered their names in the tournament's prize list, such as Sir Nick Faldo, Ian woosnam ou Colin Montgomerie. The tournament will also be an opportunity to discover emerging talents from Asia, such as Arjun Atwal, the first Indian winner of the DP World Tour, or Zhang Lian Wei, the first Chinese winner of the tour. After a nine-year break from the tournament, it is the defending champion South African Ockie Strydom, who won the 2023 edition

By joining forces with the Singapore Classic, Porsche is expanding its reach into the Asian market, where golf is growing in popularity. Porsche thus wishes to strengthen its international visibility among golf enthusiasts in the region and involve the community. Porsche Golf, which brings together customers and enthusiasts of the brand who share their love for golf. Porsche will offer unique experiences at the tournament site, such as test drives of its models, meetings with players or VIP invitations. The brand will also offer a sports car, the Porsche Panamera Turbo E Hybrid, to the player who achieves a hole-in-one on the 17th, a first on the DP World Tour in Asia.

The German manufacturer is not a newcomer to golf, since the brand has a long-standing relationship with the DP World Tour, of which it has been an official automobile partner since 2015. Porsche also organizes the Porsche Golf Cup, an amateur circuit which brings together more than 17 participants in more than 000 countries, and the Porsche Golf Circle, an exclusive club that offers its members unique opportunities to play on the most beautiful courses in the world. Porsche is also an official automotive partner of the Omega European Masters, another DP World Tour tournament held in Switzerland, thanks to its Swiss subsidiary. Porsche is currently in discussions with the DP World Tour to continue its involvement in the Hamburg European Open, which it sponsored from 2017 to 2023.
