The 11th edition of the PING Junior Ryder Cup was held on the Sylvania Golf & Country Club course in Ohio. The competition was played over two days: 6 fourballs on Wednesday morning, 6 foursomes on Wednesday afternoon and 12 singles on Thursday to close the tournament.

Two French women were therefore engaged in Ohio: Constance Fouillet and Vairana Heck.

There European captain Annika Sorenstam decided to combine them for the two doubles.

On Wednesday morning, the two teams neutralized each other, 3 games won by the Americans and 3 games won by the Europeans. The French unfortunately entered the competition with a 3 & 1 loss against the pair Kelly Xu and Anna Davis.

The afternoon foursome matches turned clearly to the advantage of the Americans, 5 games won against a defeat. The French lost 3 & 2 against Kaitlyn Schroeder and Yana Wilson.

The Europeans were therefore down 8 points to 4 on the evening of the first day.

8,5 points were needed to hope to win the cup.

With 8 wins, 2 shared matches and only 2 defeats this Thursday, the young Europeans won 9 points out of 12 possible and made a superb comeback.

Constance Fouillet and Vairana Heck -

The French won two points for Team Europe in the singles matches, both winning their matches. Vairana Heck took over Katie Li, 2 & 1. Constance Fouillet won her match 5 & 3 against Avery Zweig.

Our two French teams therefore ended on a good note and brought back, with their teammates and their captain Annika Sorenstam, the trophy in Europe.

Now it's time for the Solheim Cup!
