Matthieu Pavon third, victory for HØJGAARD
Dismissed from tournaments by a positive test for Covid 19, Matthieu Pavon was able to take part in his first tournament of the season during the Ras al Khaimah Championship. He signs his first podium with a third place on the Al Hamra Golf Club, seven strokes behind the winner Nicolai HØJGAARD. Brun and Guerrier rank in the top 15.
After two weeks of the Rolex Series, the DP World Tour stayed in the Emirates for the Ras al Khaimah Championship presented by Phoenix Capital at the Al Hamra Golf Club. Tested positive for Covid 19, Matthieu Pavon had not been able to participate in the first two events of the year, events richly endowed, because stamped Rolex Series.
The Bordelais for his first tournament of the year was able to set the record straight and confirm the work done during the break. With cards of 68-69-68-66, he finished third in this Ras al Khaimah Championship. He is part of a group of four players to only turn in cards under 70 this week. His last card of 66 (-6), five birdies, an eagle for a bogey, allows him to gain eight places on Sunday. With this podium, he is now in 39th place in the Race To Dubai. He also gained 40 places in the world rankings, from 272 to 232nd place.

It is Nicolai HØJGAARD who wins the victory of this Ras al Khaimah Championship. The young Norwegian will have dominated the tournament and concludes Sunday with a master hand. He even allows himself the luxury of scoring two eagles on his card on pars 5 of 3 and 14. He returns cards of 67-65-64-68, i.e. 25 birdies, three eagles, five bogeys and a double for a total of -24. He won four strokes ahead of the Englishman Jordan Smith and pocketed his second victory on the DP World Tour.

Julien Brun and Julien Guerrier finished in the top 15 of the event, in 13th place with a total of -13. With a last card of 67 (-5), embellished by a wedge kick in for eagle at 13, Julien Brun climbed 15 places in the last round. He makes cards of 71-66-71-67. Julien Guerrier returns cards of 71-69-66-69 over his week.

Frederic Lacroix ranks 53rd at -5, with cards of 73-66-71-73
