Cristie Kerr won the CME Group Tour Championship on Sunday, Karine Icher signed a top 5, on the last event of the season on the LPGA circuit.
The 7th place of the New Zealander Lydia Ko allows her to confirm her position of world No. 1 and to win the Trophy for best player of the year.

The American player of the Lacoste team signed her 18th career title on the LPGA circuit and the second victory this season, after also winning the Kia Classic in March.

Kerr, posted a 68 (-4) card at the end of the last round for a total of 271 (-17), beating compatriot Gerina Piller and South Korean Jang Ha-na, tied for 3rd at one stroke (272).

“We're coming to the end of the season and it's really cool to win the last tournament of the year. "

“I stayed strong when I had to,” said Kerr.

The spectators were held in suspense until the 18th and last hole by the duel Lydia Ko / Inbee Park, the latter succeeds in preceding by one point the New Zealand phenomenon which keeps thanks to its 7th position the first place in the world ranking and immediately won the title of best player of the year.

Lydia Ko is the fourth player in the history of the circuit to lift the trophy, a year after being crowned top debutante.
