Michelle Wie won the HSBC Women's World Championship on Sunday, the American's first victory since the US Open at Pinehurst in 2014.

The 2014 US Open champion at Pinehurst, her last victory, won after a magnificent lap ended with a card of 65 (-7) with a significant lead over her compatriots Nelly Korda, who was enthroned in the day before, Danielle Kang, leader after 36 holes, South Korean Jenny Shin and Canadian Brooke M. Henderson.

Karine Icher finished in 57th place at +5 (293) after signing a clear 71 (-1) card (seventeen pars, one birdie).

The LPGA Tour now allows itself a week of rest before returning to US soil in Phoenix, Arizona for the Bank of Hope Founders Cup, March 15-18.
