Filipino Yuka Saso is at the helm of the LPGA Lotte Championship (-16) after two rounds under the tropical Hawaiian sun at Kapolei Golf Club. New Zealander Lydia Ko is in ambush at two points. Céline Herbin is the only Frenchwoman to cross the cut at (-5). The Lotte adventure stops for Perrine Delacour, the Axonaise ends in the par (+3), the virtual cut being set at -2.

The young Yuka Saso remained solid during this second round, alone at the controls with a superb 64 in a row, 9 birdies for a single bogey at the Kapolei Golf Club in Hawaii.

The 19-year-old Filipino, present at the invitation of a sponsor, succeeded on seven of her first 10 holes to tie the then-leading Ko at -14.

Amy Yang made hole in 1 on the par 3 of 12, which brought her to -8. He is the third LPGA ace for the 2021 season.

The LPGA is back in Hawaii for the first time since 2019. The Lotte Championship, once hosted at Ko Olina Golf Club, has moved to Kapolei Golf Club. This is the first time the tour has been played in Kapolei since the 2001 Hawaiian Open Noodle Cup.
