The Terre Blanche Ladies Open was synonymous this week with the resumption of the Let Access Series, the second European women's division. It was finally the Italian Lucrezia Colombotto Rosso who won after a play-off. Constance Fouillet, still an amateur, finished best Frenchwoman with a fourth place.

The LETAS season is finally launched with the Terre Blanche Ladies Open. It was an Italian who won this first tournament of the season in the second European division. With a score of -7 and a controlled play-off, it was Lucrezia Colombotto Rosso who won her first professional victory.

She makes cards of 70-69-70. The victory could have eluded her on the last holes: -4 for her day and counting two strokes ahead at the start of the 16 on her closest pursuer, the German Chiara Noja, the Italian commits a bogey on the 16, then a double bogey on the par 4 of the 17th. The par 5 of the 18th allowed her to sign a final birdie and grab the play-off from which she would emerge victorious.

Many French players were present for this first LETAS event, on French soil, with many amateurs among them. Our first tricolor Constance Fouillet, ranks fourth with a total of -3. Still an amateur, our Solheim Cup Junior player was taking part in her first professional tournament. She returns cards of 69-74-70 over her week at Terre Blanche.

Maylis Lamoure, also an amateur, ends her week one step behind Constance Fouillet, in 5th position at -2. She gives up cards of 69-73-72.

Two other French women rank in the top 10, Mathilda Cappeliez, 7th in the PAR and Nastasia Nadaud 8th at +1.
