In difficult conditions, Lee-Anne Pace retains the Investec South African Women's Open, after a play-off against Argentina's Magdalena Simmermacher. Agathe Sauzon finished first in France in sixth place.

On the Steenberg Golf Club, par 72 from 6521 yards, it was finally a local from the stage who stood out to win the Investec South African Women's Open. Despite starting seven strokes behind Welsh leader Becky Brewerton, two players seized the opportunity to grab a play-off. Indeed the leader of Saturday evening put many players in the race for the title, the fault of a heavy card of 78 (+6).

It was finally Lee-Anne Pace and Argentina's Magdalena Simmermacher who came out the best with a card of 70 (-2) each, we can note that only four players played under par on Sunday.

The two players then headed to the play-off which smiled at defending champion Lee-Anne Pace. She thus retains her title gleaned in 2021.

Agathe Sauzon finished first in France with a sixth place finish. She returned cards of 74-70-77 before closing with a last card in the PAR, 72 on Sunday. This card allows him to move from 15th to sixth place.

Emma Grechi finishes a shot behind Agathe Sauzon. She started in third position on Sunday, in a difficult day. Despite her 77 (+5) final, she ranks 7th.
