Trust Golf, part of TCT Corporation, will host the Asian Mixed Cup and the Asian Mixed Stableford Challenge as part of the Trust Golf Asian Mixed Series. These tournaments will see the top LET players and the top Asian Tour players compete for US$1,5 million over two weeks.

These two events will be played back-to-back at the Waterside Course at Siam Country Club near Pattaya – one of Asia's top golf clubs that has hosted many prestigious international championships and is the home of Honda LPGA Thailand – April 7-10 and April 13-16, 2022.

The two events will bring together 60 players from the LET and 60 from the Asian Tour, as well as 24 invitations from sponsors, who will compete for the same prize and trophy. Each tournament will offer a prize pool of $750, as well as points on the Official World Golf Ranking. Race to Costa del Sol and Order of Merit points will be awarded to players from both circuits.

Trust Golf's support as title sponsor is a tremendous boost to these innovative co-hosted events. Dr. Prin Singhanart, founder of the Thai technology company and Trust Golf Tour, is passionate about innovative golf formats. With the mixed Thai tournament, to be played at the end of March, followed by the mixed Asian tournament in April, Dr Prin hopes to one day organize a world mixed championship.

Trust Golf founder Dr Prin Singhanart commented: “I'm always extremely excited about mixed formats because golf is the only sport that allows people of all ages and genders to play together. I would like to provide a pathway for Thai talent, male and female. If a golfer wins the tournament, she will become a member of the LET, and if a golfer wins the tournament, he will become a member of the Asian Tour. The Trust Golf Tour affiliate program will allow players to be ranked in order of merit. »

“I believe that sport has always been a soft power approach to diplomacy in international relations. With the lure of its unique culture, Thailand has such potential to boost it in sports, especially with our strength in Thai boxing and golf. This can contribute to future trade and investment by building trust and awareness of our country's capabilities. »

Alexandra Armas, CEO of LET, said: “We look forward to collaborating with Dr. Prin and his vision to nurture the next generation of Thai talent. These new tournaments are important steps in the continued growth of LET as we offer 33 playing opportunities to our members in 2022 and we look forward to working together with Trust Golf and the Asian Tour at Siam Country Club in April. »

Asian Tour CEO Cho Minn Thant said: “The Asian Tour is extremely excited to add a new format of play to its tournament schedule. We thank Trust Golf for allowing the Asian Tour to organize its first mixed events, which will have a strong resonance with golf enthusiasts in the region. It is also an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Ladies European Tour for the first time and to pay our first visit to the highly regarded Siam Country Club. »
