Women golfers from Asia and around the world will have a new opportunity to join ranked players on the world stage with the new qualifying events that the Ladies European Tour has launched at Angkor Golf Resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The event will be played between October 19 and 22, 2016 and will be one of four pre-qualifying tournaments for LET's Lalla Aicha School Tour, the final stage in Marrakech, Morocco, from December 17 to 21.

Aspiring professionals of the Ladies European Tour will compete for four rounds on the award-winning golf course designed by European legend Sir Nick Faldo, at Angkor Golf Resort, which is located five minutes from Siem Reap International Airport and 10 minutes away. from the famous Angkor Wat temple. Cambodia has a thriving golf tourism market and this event will showcase the world-class facilities at Angkor Golf Resort, which has received a number of awards since its opening in 2008. The resort has hosted the Handa Faldo Cambodian Classic in 2012 and received the IAGTO Award of Excellence in 2015.

The Ladies European Tour continues to expand its global presence after the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with international qualifying events in Africa, Asia and South America. The pre-qualifiers “A” and “B” will be played at Mohammedia Golf Course in Morocco, November 16-19 and December 9-12, respectively. The “C” pre-qualifiers will be played at Angkor Golf Resort from October 19-22 and the “D” pre-qualifiers will return at the prestigious La Pradera de Potosi Golf Club in La Calera, Colombia from November 23-26.

The qualifying final to determine LET membership in 2017 will be played at Amelkis and Samanah Golf courses in Marrakech, Morocco from December 17-21, 2016.
