40 years of Golf history at La Baule

• 1976: Creation of the Golf International Barrière de La Baule (18 holes) on 60 hectares
• 1994: Extension to 27 holes on 100 hectares
• 2000: 36 hole opening in June
• 2001: Opening of 45 holes over a total area of ​​220 hectares spread over 3 municipalities: La Baule, Saint André des Eaux and Guérande

Today it is an area which, like Racing La Boulie and the National of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, is part of one of the three 45 holes of the Hexagon. And the largest golf area with its 220 hectares.

This complex has 45 holes on 3 courses:

* In the South: 18 holes ROUGE COURSE - 6 meters - PAR 029
The Lucien Barrière course is narrow, undulating woodland, offering the right balance between pleasure and technicality. The player will have a real challenge on the last holes.

* In the North: 18 holes PARCOURS BLEU - 6 meters - PAR 197
The Diane Barrière-Desseigne course (18 holes) represents a more vigorous and more athletic challenge between hole n ° 5 and hole n ° 13. The layout will be reminiscent of American golf courses: numerous lakes, vast bunkers and large, well-defended greens.

* West: 9 holes PARCOURS VERT - 2 meters - PAR 973
The François André course (9 holes) offers a technical and fun course developed as a real test for good players and a challenge within the reach of novices.

Since May 2016, a beginners course has been associated with the François André route with advanced departures on the fairways and a second hole on the green. This allows young golfers to experience themselves on a course in real playing conditions, while benefiting from suitable distances.

The Golf International Barrière training center has a practice area on grass, 55 posts on synthetic turf (including 10 covered), an approach area, a putting green and a training bunker. .

Three state-qualified professionals teach there year-round: Mathieu Bertrand, Jean-Louis Lucas and Éric Tardiff.

Studio coaching, used to review your swing on video, is available to teachers and their students.

The training center has acquired a FlightScope, a device allowing precise measurement and analysis of the golfer's swing.

At La Boutique du Golf You will find all the necessary golf equipment: shoes, accessories, gloves, rain gear, umbrellas, textiles labeled with the new Golf coat of arms, etc. NEW: Ralph Lauren Ligne Golf, RLX, Vicomte A., Henri Cotton's and Golfino are present. The Club House, the largest thatched cottage in the Brière Regional Nature Park, nestled in lush greenery, opens its doors for a lunch facing the Greens and the courses as far as the eye can see.

The charm of this large building, its exposed beams, its high ceiling and its cozy fireplace will seduce at first glance. Large bay windows flood the space with light and face due south on the immense body of water surrounding the last holes of the Parcours Lucien Barrière.

Patrick and his team offer gourmet breaks, seasonal and regional dishes all day long for lunch.

La Baule Golf School obtained for the third consecutive year the title of best school in the department. The school welcomes around sixty students of all ages and all levels.
