The European Ladies Open becomes the second Women's Golf tournament in France, behind the Evian Championship thanks to its financial endowment of € 300 and aims to become a major tournament of the Ladies European Tour. The first edition of this international tournament will take place from October 000 to 3, 6.

The European Ladies Open is a continuation of the European Week of Sport which has been held from 23 to 30 September each year since 2014. This week aims to promote physical exercise and sport, at all levels and for all audiences. A tournament of this scope is an important lever for developing the practice of golf in Alsace.

Are women the future of golf?

By choosing to center its development project around women's sport and well-being with, as a culmination, the creation of a European women's golf tournament, the Kempferhof Golf reaffirms its identity: elegance, tenacity , friendliness.

A total of 108 European and international players from LET will be present to compete during these 4 days of competition.

An emblematic place with a rich history

Bought in 2016 by the Bindschedler family, the Kempferhof Golf is ideally located in the heart of Europe, 15 minutes from Strasbourg (Plobsheim, Bas-Rhin), with its hotel - restaurant and its magnificent course designed by Bob Von Haage. Golf aims to become a must-see golf course in Europe.

“When we took over the Kempferhof golf course two years ago, we were convinced of the great potential of the place,” explains Pierre-Etienne Bindschedler, owner of the Kempferhof golf course. We have been reinforced in this by numerous rankings placing it among the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. Our ambitions: to promote our club, our region, the passion for sport and to make Alsace a land of golf both nationally and internationally. It is therefore quite natural that we took the initiative to host a Ladies European Tour competition. »

For more than fifteen years, the Eventeam Group, a global communications agency specializing in sports events, has supported the Bindschedler family through Soprema, particularly in sports and events. It is together that they decided to produce this event which will allow golf to increase its notoriety and continue its development in Europe.

"The Eventeam Group is very committed to the development of golf," recalls its president Igor Juzon, rugby player and golfer. We are the official hospitality agency for the next Ryder Cup from September 28 to 30, 2018 at the Golf National near Paris. As a partner of the Olympic family since the London Olympics, we were delighted to see golf become an Olympic sport during the Rio Games in 2016. It is in this state of mind that we are part of the development of Golf in France."
