Seventy-eight players will be at the start of the 27th edition of the Lacoste Ladies Open de France, which will take place as every year since 2012 at the Chantaco golf course in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The course, built in 1928 by the Lacoste family, has undergone major renovations in recent months in order to offer players on the European circuit a challenge of the highest quality. As every year since its birth in 1987 on the Ladies European Tour calendar, the tournament will involve an unchanged endowment of 250 euros, including 000 for the winner.

The 78 players, including the best European and French golfers, will try to succeed Beth Allen, who won last year after a superb duel against the Italian Diana Luna. The first American to lift the trophy, the Californian had on this occasion joined several legends of European golf, including the French Marie-Laure de Lorenzi (1988, 1993, 1995), the English Trish Johnson (1996, 1999, 2010), the Swedish Liselotte Neumann (1987), the French Patricia Meunier-Lebouc (2000), the Norwegian Suzann Pettersen (2001) and the Spanish Azahara Muñoz (2013, 2014). The last Habs to have won their national open remains Céline Herbin, crowned in 2015.
