For the 7th consecutive year, the hype station has turned into a real open-air museum! The “L'Art au Sommet” event exhibition will be held in Courchevel until April 24, 2016 with two major artists from the Galeries Bartoux, graffiti artist JonOne and sculptor Richard Orlinski.

If you are used to Courchevel, you must have already seen on the slopes for a few years the monumental works of the French artist Richard Orlinki… Ours, loups etc ..

This season, the famous Galeries Bartoux also honor a major Street Art artist, the American graffiti artist JonOne, who punctuates the station with his unique works. For the first time, the Saulire cable car was covered with a work by the artist!

12 works by JonOne, reproduced on tarpaulins, are also exhibited within the station. They brighten up the arrival and departure stations of certain cable cars and chairlifts.

A life-size gondola egg, as well as miniature gondolas suspended in height, entirely tagged by the artist, are exhibited on the Place de la Croisette.

The Galeries Bartoux, which are committed to democratizing art and making it accessible to all, were able to count for this event on a strong will on the part of the Tourist Office of Courchevel, and its dynamic director, Adeline Roux, to create new and qualitative events, aimed at a large audience. The station, eager to rediscover simplicity and authenticity, could only be sensitive to an exhibition highlighting a popular art, Street Art, which originated in the street and urban cultures.

Courchevel can boast of being a place of new and original artistic expression, and its snowy slopes, an open-air museum.

A part of the works of JonOne and Richard Orlinski will be sold on March 11, 2016 for the benefit of the Abbé Pierre Foundation, during an auction orchestrated by auctioneer Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr.
