Land Rover will present a Discovery for the Austrian Red Cross to respond to disaster emergencies. This unique SUV will rub shoulders with the Range Rover SV Coupé and the Land Rover Series I "Reborn" in Paris. Fans of the Jaguar brand will be able to compare the latest XJ50 to the original XJ6 Series 1, which returned to the scene of its first presentation 50 years ago.

The Jaguar Land Rover stand will particularly highlight its first applications of the range electrification approach: Range Rover and Range Rover Sport P400e plug-in hybrid alongside the new I-PACE.

The latter will mark its arrival in Paris on September 29 where around twenty Jaguar I-PACEs will storm the streets of Paris, in preview of the Paris Motor Show. From the Eiffel Tower to the Carrousel du Louvre via the Place de la Concorde or the Champs Elysées, the I-PACE will set off to meet the most significant places in the capital.

Tuesday, October 2, the 20 I-PACE will meet at EP7, "the digital and gourmet tavern" of the 13th arrondissement of Paris, place where technology and urban art meet, in order to bring life to 'The PACE' experience. In line with the Amsterdam event of September 3, influencers, personalities and guest clients will have a unique experience. By testing the Jaguar I-PACE, the data generated by their driving style will be used through a specially developed algorithm to remix the title "Want to" by Dua Lipa with which Jaguar has associated. The elements collected such as the amount of electrical energy consumed, the way in which users drive, accelerate and brake will be analyzed and transformed into information used to modify the title: tempo, arrangements and general mood of the song.

The experience will then be offered to visitors to the Paris Motor Show for the duration of the show by coming to try one of the models from the Jaguar Pace range: E-PACE, F-PACE and I-PACE opposite hall 5.2 on the test center where Land Rover vehicles will also be available for testing, including the new Range Rover Hybrid rechargeable.

I-PACE will then take the road to 30 cities across France. Breaks in front of iconic places in each city, unusual meetings and tests will be on the menu for this tour. 24 I-PACE will be mobilized in a caravan of 4 cars which will cross France, supported by the two other members of the JAGUAR PACE family: the E-PACE and F-PACE SUVs.

Celebrating 70 years of all-terrain superiority

Land Rover will continue to celebrate its 70th anniversary by unveiling an exceptional Discovery that will join the Red Cross emergency response fleet.

Inspired by the Project Hero concept car concept and the result of 18 months of collaboration between Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations and the Austrian Red Cross, this tailor-made Discovery is equipped with the latest communication technologies, including an 8-rotor drone. It will serve as a disaster response center by allowing experts to direct rescue operations. Land Rover has supported the Red Cross since 1954.

This very special Discovery will be presented alongside the Range Rover SV Coupé and the modern reinterpretation of the original Land Rover: the Land Rover Series I "Reborn".

Our partnership with the Red Cross is not limited to vehicles. Since the start of our collaboration in 1954, our goal has been to improve disaster response and therefore save lives. For 18 months, our engineers have been working closely with the Austrian Red Cross emergency response team to put Land Rover's technology and talents at the service of a solution adapted to the region.

Jaguar celebrates 50 years of its flagship

A Jaguar XJ convoy representing the past and present will leave the Jaguar factory in Castle Bromwich in the UK to join the Paris Motor Show and celebrate the half-century of the luxury sedan.

The eight generations of XJ produced over the past 50 years will be represented. The procession will be led by the lineage car, the Series 1, and will end with the very recent XJ50.

In 1968, the XJ debuted at the Paris Salon where Sir William Lyons, founder of Jaguar, unveiled his vision of a sedan offering the handling of a Type-E. His personal XJ series 1 will be on the show stand alongside the XJ50 during the press day.

An XJ6 series 1 will be on display throughout the fair as part of the exhibition in Hall 5.1 celebrating “mythical routes”.

The Jaguar XJ is an icon and has always been within the brand. We have always treated any reinterpretation of the model with the greatest respect for the original car and we are therefore delighted that as many people as possible can see the current model alongside the original version.
