Friends Cup: Emmanuel Felix wins
On the selective “Blanc-Rouge” course of Bellefontaine and under very capricious weather, Emmanuel FELIX won this Sunday the first Masters of the Friends Cup.
Author of two high-flying rounds, the player from Guerville fought until 36rd hole to snatch his superb victory. Eighteenth in the 2014 final and ninth in the 2015 final, he becomes the fourth player in history to reach the first step of a final podium of the competition.
He is also ahead of Hervé PRIEUR, leader at the end of the first lap and brilliant second, then Olivier PAUWELS who, already runner-up in 2015, recorded another fine performance. On the women's side, Yvonne RUSSO takes a well-deserved ninth place, just 7 points from the podium.
Finally, the good defense of the course should be noted throughout the weekend, because none of the 25 competitors entered managed to improve their index during this Masters. The diabolical greens of Bellefontaine are probably no stranger to this affair…
