From 17 to 20 October 2019, for its 46th edition, the FIAC is pleased to welcome among the prestigious spaces of the Grand Palais a rigorous selection of galleries of modern art, contemporary art and design among the most emblematic of the international scene.

FIAC 2019: from 17 to 20 October 2019

FIAC Galeries will have 199 galleries from 29 countries, including 2 countries represented for the first time at FIAC (Côte d'Ivoire and Iran) as well as 3 countries returning to FIAC in 2019 (Iceland, the Poland, the Czech Republic). Among the exhibitors, we note the return of 9 galleries representative of different geographical areas and generations: Lisson (London, New York, Shanghai), Nara Roesler (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, New York), Contemporary Fine Arts (Berlin), hunt kastner (Prague), Campoli Presti (Paris, London), Tomio Koyama (Tokyo), Galerie Papillon (Paris), Sprovieri (London), Baronian Xippas (Brussels).

The 46th edition of the FIAC is also marked by the participation of 25 new galleries: Lévy Gorvy (London, New York, Hong Kong, Zürich), The Box (Los Angeles), Meyer Kainer (Vienna), Barbara Wien (Berlin), Magnin-A (Paris), Jacky Strenz (Frankfurt), BERG Contemporary (Reykjavik), Dastan Gallery (Tehran), apalazzo (Brescia), Laveronica (Modica), Kate MacGarry (London), JTT (New York), Simone Subal Gallery (New York), Cécile Fakhoury (Abidjian, Dakar, Paris), Lyles & King (New York), Joseph Tang (Paris), Hopkins (Paris), Barbara Weiss (Berlin), including 7 in the Lafayette Sector: Jenny's (Los Angeles), Gianni Manhattan (Vienna), Mariane Ibrahim (Chicago), PM8 (Vigo), Dawid Radziszewski (Warsaw), Soft Opening (London) and Weiss Falk (Basel).

With the Lafayette Sector, FIAC and the Galeries Lafayette Group once again confirm their commitment to the emerging scene. The 10 galleries selected benefit from financial support from the Galeries Lafayette Group, Official Partner of the FIAC since 2009.

The Design Sector, reintroduced in 2017, is long-term with the return for the 2019 edition of five essential galleries of modernist and contemporary design: Jousse entreprise, Galerie kreo, LAFFANOUR - Galerie Downtown, Eric Philippe and Galerie Patrick Seguin.

FIAC Projects will present around thirty sculptures and installations, in the remarkable setting of the Petit Palais and on Avenue Winston Churchill, pedestrianized on the occasion of the FIAC. This year, FIAC Projects is designed in collaboration with Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, curator of the next Riga Biennale. As an invited curator, she participates in the selection of projects with the teams of curators at the Petit Palais and the artistic direction of FIAC.

FIAC Hors les Murs, in collaboration with the Louvre Museum, will present a tour of around twenty works outdoors in the Jardin des Tuileries, a historic site in this sector, as well as a monographic exhibition by the English artist Glenn Brown, in collaboration with the Max Hetzler Gallery (Berlin, Paris, London…) at the Musée national Eugène Delacroix. For the Place Vendôme, the FIAC Hors les Murs gave carte blanche to the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama to invest this emblematic place of Paris, in collaboration with the Victoria Miro gallery (London, Venezia). Following on from the Hors les Murs du Jardin des Tuileries route, FIAC is presenting for the second year in a row, an architectural route, an ephemeral village of architectural structures, on the most iconic of Parisian squares, the Place de la Concorde.

FIAC Programs presents a cultural program of performances (Parades for FIAC), conferences (Conversation Room) and film screenings (Cinéphémère), with free and open access.
