As the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games have just ended, the National Sport Museum takes over and presents its new temporary exhibition entitled " From Rio to Paris, from one dream to another ».

Temporary exhibition: From Rio to Paris, from one dream to anotherFrom October 20 until January 15, 2017, the space devoted to the Museum's temporary exhibitions is transformed into an Olympic village in order to offer (already) a feedback on these Games through the discovery of Rio, through performances tricolor delegations, but also to project themselves into the heart of France's bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.

All behind Riner and Jeremiasz

The first part of the exhibition therefore allows you to immerse yourself in the festive and colorful atmosphere of Rio, the symbolic host city of these Olympic Games, just two years after the hosting of the 2014 Football World Cup, in a economic and political context, however extremely difficult.

The French performances are also retraced in pictures: from the communicative joys of the fencers to the shared happiness of the boxing couple Tony Yoka and Estelle Mossely, from the tears of Renaud Lavillenie to the radiant smile of Amélie Le Fur, the French athletes have lived up to the expectations placed on them, like their flag bearers Teddy Riner and Michaël Jeremiasz. The course reveals the great stories of these historic Games for the Blues, with the key to a new record of Olympic medals: 42 podiums including 10 Olympic titles.

Paris, Olympic springboard

The second act of this initiatory journey takes place in Paris, the Olympic city par excellence since it has already hosted the Games twice in 1900 and 1924 and above all, because it carries with it the hope of a whole country with its will. to organize them again in 2024. The assets, secrets and symbols of this innovative project are therefore scrutinized in order to discover the specificities of an Olympic ambition carried by legendary athletes.

Finally, before leaving the Olympic Village, visitors are invited to take part in several events and give free rein to their imagination so that they too can become ambassadors of the French Olympic dream.
