20160302_ExpoDeGainsbourgAGainsbarre_01The two photographers exhibited, Odile Montserrat and Pierre Terrasson, were close friends of the man with the “cabbage head”. Many photos that will be exhibited have never been published or exhibited to date. It is therefore an intimate, rich and unique exhibition that is presented!

Arriving with his family in the 30s, Serge Gainsbourg forged his artistic identity in the 9th arrondissement of Paris during his childhood and adolescence. In New Athens and around Pigalle, the young Serge Gainsbourg found his style and his references. At 11 bis rue Chaptal, where he lived for more than 10 years during his childhood and adolescence, a plaque will be placed in his memory on March 10 at 12:30 p.m. in the presence of Delphine Bürkli and those close to the artist.

The exhibition will bring together dozens of photographs by Odile Montserrat and Pierre Terrasson, a sound design created by sound architect Arnaud Clemente-Jacques and a sculpture of the bust of Serge Gainsbourg by Daniel Druet staged to create a living work. created by Valeria Attinelli (kinetic artist) and Minuit (light architect).

Odile Montserrat, one of the rare female photographers of the time, photographed many personalities (Alain Delon, Julio Iglesias, Sylvester Stallone, John Travolta…) and was friends with Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin.

As for Pierre Terrasson, he met Gainsbourg in 1984 for the French magazine BEST, for which he produced a series in black and white with the Nikon F2 camera and its 24 / mm 2.

From Gainsbourg to Gainsbarre, from March 1 to April 10, Salons Aguado - Mairie du Neuf, 6 rue Drouot, 75 009 Paris.
