At the end of a day worthy of a script by Alfred Hitchcock, Edouard Espana wins the 79th edition of the Grand Prix Schweppes PGA France. One stroke from the winner, we find Xavier Poncelet who finished alone on the second step of the podium. For her part, Marion Ricordeau won the trophy for the ladies, and kept her title acquired last year.

Edouard Espana and Xavier Poncelet offered spectators present at the Golf du Médoc Resort an extraordinary spectacle. After a last lap under high voltage, Edouard Espana won the Grand Prix Schweppes PGA France 2015, thanks to an exceptional card of 65 (-6).

The player trained at Golf Bordelais, started seven laps behind, had an almost perfect day punctuated by six birdies and devoid of any bogey. The European Tour resident won his first victory of the season.

Xavier Poncelet, for his part, was one of the major players in this Grand Prix Schweppes PGA France 2015. At 25, he will have led the debates and heads for much of the week. Despite all his efforts, the player who trains throughout the year at the Golf du Médoc Resort narrowly missed his putt for birdie at hole number 18 and let out the trophy, which however seemed to reach out to him.

This second place augurs well for a promising season for those who already have a victory in 2015 at the Arcachon Open.

At the Ladies, Marion Ricordeau imposes himself brilliantly after a solid last day. The young proette demonstrated the full extent of her talent during this Médoc week. His last card under par 70 (-1) allows him to keep his title. A victory without appeal since Jade Schaeffer relegated to four shots at the end of the week.
