Since its creation in 1994, The Amundi Evian Championship has constantly affirmed its ambition to promote the performance of women in sport and to participate in the development of women's golf. This year, the prize money for The Amundi Evian Championship has been increased to $6,5 million, i.e. $2 million more than in 2021. has been committed for a long time thanks to the support of its loyal and committed Sponsors Club, in the forefront of which Amundi, Rolex, Danone and evian®; an impulse shared by all the major women's major tournaments in the world.

For the 2022 edition, the 132 best players in the world, representing 30 nations, will be at the start of the 4 rounds of competition on The Champions Course, but only 70 and tied will remain in contention for the last two days. A real challenge, both for the Top 10 players and the young revelations who are particularly in good shape this season.

Among the favorites, we can mention the Australian Minjee Lee, the champion of The Amundi Evian Championship 2021, world No. 2, the Korean Jin Young Ko, world No. 1, the American Nelly Korda, world No. 3 or even the young Thai Atthaya Thitikul, 19 years old and world No. 5. In Evian, the new generation is arriving in force, like the American Rose Zhang (19 years old, world No. 1 amateur). A fine echo of the policy initiated by the tournament management to promote the emergence of the champions of tomorrow, which is reflected in particular in the choice of its invitations and some of its selection criteria.
