The Georges Mauduit Challenge will launch its 14th edition on July 11, 2021 at the Golf Club de Lyon. This first stage will be followed by 6 other competitions on Golf de Palmola on July 25, Golf de Méribel on July 31 and August 1, Golf d'Arcangues on September 26, Golf RCF La Boulie on October 2, Golf de Valescure on October 10, and the Golf des Vigiers on October 17.

Since 2008, the Georges Mauduit Challenge invites you to sports, fun and solidarity days throughout France to fight multiple sclerosis! Last year, thanks to you, the French League against Multiple Sclerosis (LFSEP), which devotes its activity to supporting MS research and patient support, was able to collect € 25 in donations.

The Challenge returns under a new formula of Schamble for two. This year you will also have the opportunity to buy "joker" string for the team in exchange for a donation to the LFSEP. Each participant can therefore free themselves from a bad posture, or extend the course of their ball to the hole, using lengths of string previously purchased for the benefit of the LFSEP.

The donations collected as well as the playing rights will be entirely transferred to the LFSEP and will give the right to a tax receipt.

On the other hand, “Live my SEP” workshops will be set up during these days. On the course and on the putting green, participants will be able to experience the silent symptoms of MS patients, during drive and putting competitions. You will then be required to play golf in conditions that bring you closer to what a person with MS may feel: playing with weights, with glasses that disturb your eyesight, on modified ground, etc. The objective is to make as many people as possible aware of this day of sharing and sport.

Some of the partner golf courses in association with the French Golf Federation and Handigolf will open their doors to patients to introduce them to paragolf. Families, an essential part of a patient's life, will also be welcomed.

Once again this year, Lacoste, partner of the Challenge Georges Mauduit, will allow 3 players drawn at random from the winners of the different stages to participate in the prestigious Pro-Am of the Lacoste Ladies Open de France.

The partners of the LFSEP. Lacoste, Golf Herria, Springer and Fersen, Golf plus, Izipizi, Srixon, Cleveland, Golf Club Maker, On the Wild Side, Najeti Hotel Valescure and the FFG will accompany you to make these days unforgettable.

A future without multiple sclerosis thanks to you

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that remains incurable to this day. Affecting the brain and spinal cord, it is very debilitating and most often occurs in young adults.

Thanks to your generosity in 2020, the LFSEP was able to participate in the support of three research projects, each grant representing € 90:

  • A project aimed at hyper-targeted rehabilitation to maintain mobility and push back wheelchair use as far as possible;
  • A project to diagnose the disease using tears to avoid lumbar punctures, which are painful and potentially dangerous;
  • The Progressive MS Alliance which is a gigantic project carried by associations around the world to find a cure for the harshest form of this disease.

In addition, the constraints that we are all currently undergoing due to the pandemic are even more difficult for patients with MS. LFSEP volunteers have mobilized to increase the number of information and listening actions with patients and their families.

The fight against Multiple Sclerosis and its disabling effects is not over and we still need your help. Your donation and investment can have a real impact on the lives of MS patients.
