The new Garmin Golf app

With the news application Garmin Golf, users can compete against each other regardless of the route. This free application offers new features such as the ranking of players, their live score, their handicap but also the possibility of creating tournaments and inviting friends to participate. The scores entered on the watch are automatically synchronized with the application thanks to constant updates.

New features

Thanks to technology Garmin AutoShot, players can easily review, map and analyze the moves of all of their games. The watch automatically records the location and distance of each detected hit and saves it to Garmin Connect for post-game analysis. In addition to seeing the distance at once, players can also use the data to compare statistics from previous games, review club distances, averages and analyze them.

Functionality "View of the green" offers golfers a detailed view of the green for each hole, the distance to obstacles (bunkers, water obstacles) as well as the distances to layups and doglegs.

Thanks to the function Plays Like, Approach S60 also takes into account the difference in altitude between the player and the target, and calculates the distance. If the shot is downhill, PlaysLike instructs the player to take a shot shorter than the displayed distance.

The Approach S60 also features SwingTempo functions, which measures the relationship between backswing and descent, TempoTraining causes vibrations to indicate to the user that he must synchronize his swing and refine his rhythm. When paired with the swing sensor Garmin TruSwing, it can also tell the user swing speed and trajectory angles to improve movement.

The Approach S60 includes a activity monitoring for calculating and recording caloric data, sleep time and the number of steps taken during a day. With a compatible smartphone the watch receives Smart Notifications to keep users connected with alerts for incoming calls, texts and emails. In addition, the Approach S60 can also provide weather forecast data.

Autonomy

Water resistant up to 50 meters, the Approach S60 offers up to ten hours of battery life in GPS mode and up to ten days in Watch mode and activity tracking.

QuickFit interchangeable strap

Users can customize their watch with the new fixing system QuickFit ™. Thus the new leather, metal and silicone bracelets can be changed very easily to adapt to the day's clothing style.

Prices and availability

The Approach S60 will be available in June in black or white PVC for a suggested retail price of € 449,99. A premium version with a shiny ceramic bezel and black leather strap will also be available for a suggested retail price of € 549,99.
