The AIG WOMEN'S OPEN, the last major of the season, taking place on the difficult Carnoustie course has just started. After this first round, 3 players are at the top of the leaderboard with cards of 67 (-5). This trio is composed of Nelly korda, the American recently awarded gold at the Tokyo Olympics and current world number 1, the Korean Sei Young Kim, 4th in the world and the Swedish Madelene Sagstrom also illustrated at the Olympics taking the lead in the first round.

The world number 1 is definitely in good shape at the end of the season. After winning her first major, the LPGA at the end of June, and now Olympic champion, the 23-year-old American is present in every major event. Her 8 birdies, against 3 bogeys, places the leader of the rolex ranking in the best possible conditions to add a new line to her prize list.

Title holder Sophia Popov returned a card in the PAR and is placed in 41st position.

Céline Boutier and Céline Herbin are ranked first in France with cards of 72 (PAR): a game with surely some regrets for Céline Boutier, -3 after 8 holes, 3 bogeys on its end of the course made it go up in the PAR. Céline Herbin meanwhile signs 1 birdie against a bogey, and 16 leaves.

Perrine Delacour and Agathe Sauzon both return cards of 73 (+1) and occupy the 64th place.

Lucie Malchirand makes a card of 79 (+7) and is placed in 143rd position.
