Valspar Championship: first victory for Adam Hadwin on the PGA Tour
Adam Hadwin confirmed his place on the PGA Tour by winning his first trophy at the Valspar Championship after having already won numerous awards in the lower divisions since his arrival at the professionals.
Canadian Adam Hadwin emerged victorious from his final standoff against American Patrick Cantlay, despite a double-bogey at 16! The former amateur world number one bogey at 18 finally offered the title to Hadwin on a silver platter.
Ideally launched by an initial 62, Jim Herman completes the podium alongside his compatriot Dominic Bozzelli. The South African Charl Schwartzel lost his crown with honors by finishing 6th (-9), just ahead of the Swedish Henrik Stenson.
"I went over there and restricted myself to doing what I do best, and just hit a few quality shots, which really made the game super easy after hole 16", said Hadwin. “I feel a little lucky after this to be sitting here with you, but I can't wait to take advantage of everything that comes with this win. "
The final classification (par 71):

3.Jim Herman (USA): 272 (-12)
