On the occasion of the 10 years of the Maison d'Art Bernard Anthonioz (MABA) in Nogent-sur-Marne, a unique anniversary exhibition is presented from February 18 to April 30, 2016.

20160201_MabaExpoSurLeMotif_01entitled On the ground, this exhibition offers to see or review the works directly inspired and produced from its heritage (tangible or intangible), the memories of its former inhabitants (or their ghosts), its stories (real or fictitious), books by its library (encyclopedias or pocket novels), its park, etc.

Works by Xavier Antin, Bastien Aubry & Dimitri Broquard, Jean-Marc Ballée, Anne-Lise Broyer, Mimosa Echard, Jason Glasser, Tamar Guimarães & Kasper Akhøj, Harmen Liemburg, Barbara Manzetti, Catherine Poncin, Natascha Sadr Haghighian, Madeleine Smith- Champion, Frédéric Teschner and Jessica Warboys mixing graphics, photography, video, text, installation or sculpture meet there. Other readings are superimposed over the usual gazes on MABA, those of the artists who, over the years, have created a new territory by bringing out “meta-images”.

These works, designed around this particular memory of MABA, have thus contributed to restoring it elsewhere, outside the walls - from Basel to Rio via Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Los Angeles or Zurich - associating the specific heritage of the House with the energy of an artistic creation in movement.
