A first for a DX-format camera: the D7200's autofocus allows precise acquisition of subjects down to -3 EV (equivalent to a moonlit night). It has a very wide range of sensitivities, high burst rates and a buffer memory allowing to record up to 100 shots in a row in high definition jpg. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi and NFC for quick and easy snapshot sharing.

Nikon ME-W1 Wireless External Microphone

The new Nikon ME-W1 bluetooth microphone, available as an option, allows recording of perfectly clear sound up to 50m away. Both the microphone transmitter and receiver are capable of picking up sound. You can therefore record using the microphone only, or via the microphone and the receiver, which allows you, for example, to record a conversation. The ME-W1 is water resistant, has an autonomy of 3 hours and the receiver has a microphone socket for connecting a stereo microphone type Micro Nikon ME-1.

View NX-I

Nikon also announces the free availability of View NX-I software from March 17, 2015. It succeeds View NX-2 and allows to quickly view and share a large number of images which can then be edited at using Capture NX-D. It comes with View NX-Movie Editor software for editing and editing videos.

The Nikon D7200 will be available from March 19, 2015 at the recommended retail price of € 1199 € bare body or € 1399 in kit with the NIKKOR 18-105mm f / 3.5-5.6G ED VR lens.
